The Bishop of Kumbo Diocese, Mgr. George Nkuo, has asked that members of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement of his Diocese be prayer warriors. Franklin Banadzem and Charles Mbuntum (youth Chaplain and Chaplain of Charismatic Renewal Movement, Kumbo respectively.
Members of the Charismatic Renewal Movement from parishes around Kumbo Deanery to pray and celebrate the solemnity of Pentecost which is also their feast day. Maintaining a social distance and with face masks in the celebration was, though not heavily attended as in the past years, a successful Celebration.
In his homily, Bishop Nkuo reminded the members of the Charismatic Movement that they are supposed to be the “prayer warriors of our time for fighting against injustice, wars, and diseases, especially the new killer COVID 19, which spares no one.” This can only be done, if the members of this charismatic renewal allow their lives to be touched by, formed, and taught by the fire of the Holy Spirit given to them at Baptism and confirmation
After the reception of Holy Communion, it was the time for the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Fr. Franklin Dindzee Banadzem led the praises in song.
