Between the 21st and the 27th of May 2024, the Diocese of Limburg in Germany visited the Diocese of Kumbo. The 6-man delegation from Limburg was headed by its Bishop, Most Rev. Georg Bätzing. They could only come as far as Bafoussam for reasons related to the prevailing insecurity in Kumbo. The Diocese of Bafoussam cordially received and hosted both dioceses. The theme of the encounter was, “Neglected Wars: People of Peace.” It was not a politically driven visit though. Yet, the German bishop preached and prayed for peace especially during the Pontifical High Mass celebrated in St Patrick’s Anglophone Parish Maetur, Bafoussam Diocese.
